What Kincluded is
Kincluded is a private app for your family and very close friends: posts and photos, one-to-one and group chats, voice and video calls, daily quotes and short meditations. Only people you add as family, and who accept, can see what you share.
What we collect
- Your account: the phone number and password, or email, you sign in with, or the identifier and (if you share it) email from Sign in with Apple or Google. Passwords are stored only in scrambled (hashed) form. Email sign-in codes are sent by email.
- Your name, as you enter it, which your family sees.
- Your family connections, and the names you choose for people (like "Mom"). The names you choose are visible only to you.
- What you share: posts, photos, comments, hearts, chat messages, and records of calls (who called, when, how long).
- Who you share each post with (all family, only some people, or all except some).
- A push notification token, so we can tell you about new messages, calls, posts and family requests.
- Reports and blocks you make.
We do not collect your location, contacts, browsing, or advertising identifiers. There are no ads and no tracking, and we never sell your data.
Calls
Voice and video calls travel through our calling provider (LiveKit) so they can reach your family. Calls are not recorded.
Who can see what
- Your posts and photos are visible only to the family members you choose for each post.
- Chat messages are visible only to the people in that chat.
- Other people can find you only by typing your exact phone number or email. Nobody can browse a list of Kincluded users.
- If you block someone, they can no longer find you, ask to add you, or message you one-to-one.
Where your data is kept
Your data is stored with our service providers, which process it only to run Kincluded: Supabase (database, sign-in and photo storage), LiveKit (calls), Resend (sign-in emails), Expo and Apple or Google (push notifications), and Apple or Google if you choose to sign in with them.
Deleting your data
You can delete any post or message you sent. To delete your whole account and everything in it, use Settings → Erase everything in the app, or email lifewpurpose@gmail.com. Deleted accounts are removed from our database and photo storage.
Children
Kincluded is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child under 13 has an account, email us and we'll delete it.
Changes
If this policy changes, we'll update this page and the date above. For anything important, we'll also tell you in the app.
